HCSD Receives First Sports Lighting Energy-Efficient Rebate Check

(March 10, 2025) – Many thanks to Mississippi Power for presenting the Harrison County School District with a $38,000 check last night! The check is part of the company’s Energy Efficiency Rebate program.
 
The rebate is for changing Harrison Central High’s baseball and softball fields to more energy-efficient LED lighting. HCSD is the first district to receive the rebate for sports lighting since the Public Service Commission approved the program last year.
