Woolmarket Elementary Recognized by School Board

HARRISON COUNTY, MS (December 6, 2021) – On Monday night, the Harrison County School Board recognized one of the best schools in the country - Woolmarket Elementary. HCSD Superintendent Mitchell King presented a special plaque and banner to the administrators and staff of Woolmarket Elementary for the school being named a 2021 National Blue Ribbon School. A Blue Ribbon sign was also installed on a wall outside the school in late November.

Woolmarket Elementary was selected for the prestigious award for being among the state’s highest performing schools in closing achievement gaps. The official designation is “Exemplary Achievement Gap-Closing School”. HCSD is incredibly proud to have a total of five National Blue Ribbon School designations:

  • D’Iberville Elementary School (2009)
  • Saucier Elementary School (2012)
  • Pineville Elementary School (2019)
  • D’Iberville Elementary School (2020)
  • Woolmarket Elementary School (2021)
