HCSD Honors 2024-25 Teacher Mentors

Posted Date: 3/28/25 (9:00 PM)

(March 27, 2025) – Today, 44 teacher mentors in the Harrison County School District received special recognition for providing support to teachers who are brand new to the classroom this year. These experienced teachers have been selected by their school administrators to participate in the inaugural HCSD Mentee-Mentor Program, in which teachers with zero teaching experience are paired with veteran educators. HCSD Research & Development Director Dr. Natasha Williams presented each mentor with a certificate and a small gift as a token of appreciation.

We are sincerely grateful for these mentors who have offered their guidance, wisdom, and encouragement to our mentees as they navigate through their first year of teaching. We are incredibly fortunate to have them as part of a supportive network in HCSD to ensure our novice teachers have what they need to have a great start to their careers!
