Transportation Questions?

If you have any questions, please email us at transportation@harrison.k12.ms.us

General Information

Students residing in the Harrison County School District are eligible for school bus transportation. If your child misses the bus for three (3) consecutive days without prior notice, they will be placed "on-call" for transportation. Parents will need to call the Transportation office on the day their student plans to ride.

Important Reminders:

  • Students should be visible at the bus stop five (5) minutes before the designated pick-up time.
  • All communication with drivers must go through the Harrison County School Transportation office.

ParentSquare Messaging App

We use ParentSquare to send out important updates regarding bus changes for both morning and afternoon routes. This ensures you stay informed about any adjustments in real-time.

Didn't Receive a Message? If you did not receive a message about a bus change, please email us at transportation@harrison.k12.ms.us for assistance.

Lost Items

Our bus drivers check for lost items after every trip. Items found on the bus are kept for return to the owner that afternoon or the next school day. Unclaimed items are turned into the school office. Please check with your driver or school office regarding lost and found items.

Bus Passes

A bus pass is required to ride a bus other than the assigned one (e.g., riding home with a friend). Provide the school office with a parent-signed note including:

  • Name of school
  • Effective date
  • Bus number
  • Student's full name
  • Address of the bus stop
  • Duration of the pass (one day or specific dates)
  • Parent's signature
