(March 28, 2025) – Some special education students in the Harrison County School District had an exciting opportunity today to see, touch, and climb aboard their favorite large vehicles!
West Wortham Elementary & Middle School hosted its inaugural Touch A Truck event this morning. Students from four HCSD elementary schools enjoyed an up-close look at a fantastic lineup of vehicles, including emergency response vehicles, heavy machinery and other construction trucks, vintage cars, and more! The experience was an excellent way for students to learn about the machines that keep our world running and meet some people behind the wheel.
It was a fun day filled with learning and exploration of various vehicles.
We want to thank all the teachers and staff for organizing and assisting with the event. We also appreciate the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department for the train rides and delicious lunch.
