(January 30, 2026) – The week ended with a wonderful surprise for Ms. Drapundra Anderson, a 2nd-grade teacher at North Gulfport Elementary & Middle School!
 
On Friday, a reporter from WXXV and a representative from the Huntington Learning Center visited Ms. Anderson’s class to announce that she is the January Teacher of the Month winner! She was very emotional upon hearing the exciting news. Ms. Anderson was nominated by Edna Curry.
 
Ms. Anderson received a certificate of recognition, a $100 gift card, and balloons. Congratulations!
