(August 7, 2026) – We are proud to celebrate HCSD’s nine Mississippi Military Star Schools for the 2026-27 school year!

The Military Star School program recognizes schools that go above and beyond to support the unique educational and social-emotional needs of military-connected students and their families. As these students transition to new schools, Military Star Schools are equipped with the resources and support systems to help them succeed and stay on track to become college-, workforce-, and life-ready.
