Orange Grove Elementary Student Wins National Award

(August 12, 2024) – Congratulations to Ruby Woods of Orange Grove Elementary for placing second in the nation in Poetry at the 2024 National BETA Club Convention!

Orange Grove Elementary BETA Club members qualified at the state level and traveled to compete at Nationals in Savannah, Georgia, this past June. The team competed in the elementary division (grades 4-5) and the junior division (grade 6). The students competed in ELA, Spanish, marketing and communication, poetry, jewelry, and sculpture.

We are extremely proud of all of the students who represented OGE and the Harrison County School District so well! We also want to thank the club sponsors, Ms. Sibley and Mrs. Davis. Kudos to all!
