Surprising September District Teachers of the Month Drawing Winners

(October 28, 2024)—Today, we had the joy of surprising and celebrating two more awesome teachers in the Harrison County School District! One stop was at D’Iberville Middle School, where we surprised Mr. Brennan Prince, the winner of our September Novice Teacher of the Month drawing. Mr. Prince is the interventionist at DMS, where his proud mom also works as the school librarian.

We also had so much fun surprising and celebrating the winner of our September District Teacher of the Month drawing!
We dropped by Harrison Central Elementary to surprise Ms. Katelynn Schonekas, a second-grade teacher at HCE. Her students were thrilled to see us!

Many thanks to Ms. Pam Pannell from the Huntington Learning Center and Ms. Macey Young from Educate & Celebrate of Gulfport for partnering with HCSD this year to honor our dedicated teachers! Every month, the principals at all 24 schools in HCSD will submit names of their teacher of the month and novice teacher of the month. Those names will be entered into two separate drawings, and the winning teachers will receive a meal of their choice, a $50 gift card, and balloons.
