(November 20, 2024) – We pulled off another excellent surprise today, this time at Pineville Elementary!
At lunchtime, we stopped by the school cafeteria to celebrate Mr. Chadney Phillips, our October District Novice Teacher of the Month drawing winner. Mr. Phillips teaches 5th-grade and 6th-grade science at Pineville. Mr. Phillips received a meal from Mugshots, gift cards, balloons, a certificate, and other goodies. Check out his reaction in the video!
Congratulations, Mr. Phillips!
It was an emotional moment for a teacher at Crossroads Elementary when we surprised her at school the following morning!
Ms. Catherine McAdory is a special education teacher at Crossroads and has taught in the HCSD for 16 years. Her name was randomly selected for our October District Teacher of the Month drawing. With help from her principal and coworkers, we surprised Ms. McAdory with the exciting news during a staff meeting! She received a hibachi lunch, gift cards, balloons, a certificate, and other goodies.
Congratulations, Ms. McAdory!
Special thanks to Ms. Pam Pannell from the Huntington Learning Center and Ms. Macey Young from Educate & Celebrate of Gulfport for partnering with HCSD this year to honor our dedicated teachers! Every month, the principals at all 24 schools in HCSD will submit names of their teacher of the month and novice teacher of the month. Those names are entered into two separate drawings, and the winning teachers will receive a meal of their choice and other wonderful gifts!
We can’t wait to surprise two more teachers in November!
