Dear HCSD Parents and Guardians,

The Harrison County School District would like to provide you with an update regarding a threat made today to West Harrison High School. We want to express our sincere gratitude to the Harrison County Sheriff's Department for their quick response and decisive action. Thanks to their efforts, an individual has been taken into custody for making terroristic threats.

Due to the age of the individual involved, we are unable to release any additional information at this time. Please rest assured that we are doing everything in our power to ensure the continued safety and security of our students and staff.

We understand that this situation may have caused concern within our community. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority, and we are committed to maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment. We will continue to work closely with our local law enforcement agencies and review our safety protocols to prevent any future incidents.
